As requested by many of you, here's post on my time working on Point of Entry 2.
We had a real fun time; many fun and funny moments on set. There was a lot of sleeping (falling asleep, not sleeping around; where's your mind?!), eating, laughing and goofing around.
Here's the 'good girl' shot of Liu Ai Ling (that's my character's name). This was memorable because we had to shoot this twice - a mistake was made with the wardrobe 'conti'. For those who don't know what I am talking about, when we say 'no conti', it means there is no continuity; we don't shoot things in sequence, but when you watch it on television, it has to look like we have. So if a character is wearing a red belt in Scene 1 in a cafe, even though Scene 2 where she just exits the cafe may be shot a month later, we have to make sure the same belt is on, the wardrobe, hair and makeup are the same.

I haven't used a backpack in years man!
From geek to prostitute; we spent many days filming in Geylang, and it wasn't about the food. I had never been to an 'hourly rate' hotel until filming POE2, and I saw quite a few things that made me feel at once sad and indignant at the same time.
On a happier note, there was this day when we spent the entire day and night shooting at Punggol Park. It was my first time there, and I was charmed. What a cute little park; although not in Punggol (it's in Hougang. Go figure, Singapore!).

Not all locations are as lovely; for a big fight scene, we spent a day at the old Coast Guard in the Kallang area. The space is unused now; just an empty building. What made this place memorable was the crazy heavy downpour! It was really raining cats and dogs; some say it added to the atmosphere of the shoot, which it kind of did, but all in all, what I remember the most was that it was a very wet and cold day. With nowhere near to buy food to keep warm.

There was also this location that kind of gave me the creeps. It was also shot in the Kallang area as well; it was spooky because it is a whole cluster of Housing Development Board (HDB) flats that are entirely empty (I think the government has plans for the area or something), and it didn't help that we were shooting at night, ending around 5am.

The place was not very well-lit at all (that bright light is from our production team). It's just strange to see an entire block of flats completely pitch-dark, save for the void decks. Some of the crew said they saw an old man walking along one of the corridors - argh!
I think you can actually spot the cluster of flats I am talking about; it is right next to the Pan Island Expressway (PIE). So the next time you are travelling along the PIE from the east, in the direction of Jurong, be sure to look out for these flats around the Kallang exit area!
Another location that brough back memories - this was somewhere in Toa Payoh. It was a stunt scene, and although it looks cool (check out the cables and harnesses), I didn't get to do any of the cool bits. All I got was to be dragged across the floor by my ankle. Exceedingly glamourous, of course, haha! Whiplash for days after that.

I love being by water, and we were lucky to have had many such opportunities to. We shot at Bedok Reservoir, Punggol Marina, and my beloved East Coast Park. It was so nice being outdoors while working, rather than indoors, like doing the painful office scenes (the office has no windows; not seeing the sky for hours on end drives me absolutely nuts).

That was the first day of shoot, at Bedok Reservoir.

We shot for really long hours some days, and by the time we wrapped filming each day, we still had to find time to spend time with loved ones (especially for the mummies and daddies on set; Jaymee and Dev), read our scripts for the next day, and work out. This meant there were a lot of sleeping people while waiting around on set, and some were caught on camera, myself included!
Dev catching forty winks on a construction site. We conspired to leave the room quietly, and leave him there!

This was on the ICA office set, while waiting for the crew to adjust the camera and lights. These two rascals are awful. And yes, I slept through all that!

There was alos a lot of mucking around, and a lot of eating! (Yay!) This was at Terminal 2 of the airport, where we spent a considerable amount of time...running. (We were chasing after the baddies, and it was a lot of running!)

Still at Terminal 2, this was the day we got to 'race' around on the airport buggy, and I got to jump out of it. Here on the buggy with Darryl and Le Le, another body double.

Sharing Very Important Information (some say gossip) with Jaymee, my BFF. We got yelled at for laughing like crazy one day; it was like we'd caught laughing gas or something and just couldn't stop!

Was stuck with the boys for much of the first part of filming, and so nice to have some girl time. These two were so much fun! They wore reverse outfit colour combis one day, and I just had to get a shot!

We were also fond of making signs on POE2. I only have pictures of some of them (some are not fit for public viewing!), but I'm sure you get the drift.

The snack bar, with its, erm, extremely creative play on the POE acronym.

We were asked to not use a particular washroom, and so the sign was made. One of these jokers actually drew a whole comic strip on what would happen if we were not permitted to use that washroom...
The much-requested picture of my sometimes-body double! This is Desmond, stuntman extrodinaire. They didn't want me jumping out of the second floor of an HDB flat, and so Desmond stepped in...

On one of our (many) night shoots. Here's one of our directors, Chan, hugging the screen. (I don't know why he was doing that, but I thought it made for a funny shot!).

Shooting him, shooting me...

With some of the friendly ICA guys who gamely acted alongside us.

At the inspection area in Tuas, where my car has been checked many times before! Time to play at being on the other side of the inspection process, heh.

Fadhilah and I having an 'Arrest me, Officer!' moment, haha. The poor ICA guys didn't know what hit them.

We stopped for lunch at Punggol Marina one day, and the boss brought in his haul for the day - this huge fish. The poor bugger was struggling to stay alive from being water (and hence oxygen) deprived for some time. We were having fish at the time too, and I felt kind of bad eating his friends.

The scene where we had to save the 'baby'. Dev said the 'baby' and I look freakily alike. The things sleep-deprivation does to people...

Last night of shoot! There's Bob at the far right, whom we sing the 'Bob the Builder' song to constantly. (We are a highly annoying bunch, yes.) And Chan next to him, with The Slipper. He takes it out when he says I am talking/laughing/eating too much. He once threw it at me too! Serious stuff k.

And it's a wrap! To every single person who I worked with or encountered on POE2, thanks for all the memories. =)

Remember to catch Point of Entry 2, now showing every Thursday on Mediacorp Channel 5!
